    Speakers:

    Tracy Peterkin

    Tracy Peterkin is the President of TJ & Associates, Inc., a Southwest WA- based Human Resources and Recruiting firm. Prior to joining TJ & Associates in 2003, she was an HR professional with two international companies: The Quaker Oats Company and Solvay Chemicals.

    She brings over 25 years of experience in the Human Resource Management profession including recruiting, HR department organization, policy development, training and employee relations. 

    Tracy is a Purdue University graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership. She has been certified through the Human Resource Certification Institute as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) since 2003; she is also a Certified HR Professional through SHRM. (SHRM-CP)

    Tracy served on the Board of Southwest Washington SHRM for four years in two roles: Programs Director and Secretary. 

    Steve Weinberg 

    Steve Weinberg is an HR Consultant with TJ & Associates, Inc. a SW WA-based Human Resources and Recruiting firm. He was formerly Corporate Director of Human Resources at Glumac (an eco-engineering firm) and Chief HR Officer with Elephants Delicatessen.

    Steve has more than 20 years of experience leading human resources in a broad range of companies across a number of industries. Before joining TJ & Associates, Steve led teams and consulted in a variety of HR areas including talent acquisition, organizational development, employee relations, compensation, benefits and training.  

    Dr. Weinberg has a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from UC Berkeley. He is a past board member of Southwest Washington SHRM and has been a member of the American Society for Training and Development.
